It depends on the settings you choose. At higher quality levels with the original resolution, the difference is hard to notice, while lower settings save more space.

It depends on the video and the settings. ByePhotos shows the estimated size before you start, so you can decide video by video.

Yes. Besides compression, you can export a sped-up copy at 1.5×, 2×, 3× or 4×. The video gets shorter, and so does the file. The output duration and file size are shown when the export finishes.

The compressed version is saved as a new video in your library. Once you're happy with the result, delete the original to reclaim the space.

Yes. ByePhotos downloads the original from iCloud first, and warns you if you're not on Wi-Fi.

It's best not to. Switching to another app interrupts the compression, so keep ByePhotos in the foreground until it finishes.
